"The canyons of Kolob in Zion National Park have become like a second home to me over the years. This peaceful wilderness environment offers one the opportunity to experience the solitude and tranquility of an American desert." -Rendall

Zion National Park is located in the Southwestern United States, near Springdale, Utah. A prominent feature of the 229-square-mile park is Zion Canyon, which is 15 miles long and up to half a mile deep, cut through the reddish and tan-colored Navajo Sandstone by the North Fork of the Virgin River.

Rendall Seely was raised in a rural Utah town where he spent his youth in the great outdoors. While attending Southern Utah University he spent his weekends exploring the National Parks of Utah. Today he works in Zion as an interpretive park ranger.
