"Big Sur spans 90 miles of the Central Coast of California and is part of the U.S. federally protected Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This graphic depiction started with a fine photograph by Robert Schwemmer, CINMS, NOAA." -Jon

The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS) is a US Federally protected marine area offshore of California's central coast. It is the largest US national marine sanctuary and has a shoreline length of 276 miles stretching from just north of the Golden Gate Bridge at San Francisco to Cambria in San Luis Obispo County. Supporting one of the world’s most diverse marine ecosystems, it is home to numerous mammals, seabirds, fishes, invertebrates and plants in a remarkably productive coastal environment.

Jon is a Southern California-based graphic designer whose work is informed by a passion for all things design: architecture, typography, mid-century modernism, pattern, texture, color, classic cars, as well as travel, nature, and large doses of caffeine.

Archival quality inkjet prints, produced and fulfilled by Printful in Los Angeles, CA on an Epson Stylus Pro 7900 on heavyweight Epson Matte Paper. Frames are also made in Los Angeles and are lightweight with acrylic front protector.
